Make sure all gasket surfaces are clean. Use new gaskets.

Ensure fuel system is clean. Replace fuel filters and tanks if needed.

Check all vacuum lines and plugs for leaks.

Torque mounting bolts in a cross-pattern, evenly.
***DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN***

If after initial startup flooding occurs, use a light (not metal) object to tap near the fuel inlet.
